Missouri Baptist Historical Commission is a related entity/institution of the Missouri Baptist Convention. It is led by a volunteer committee of Missouri Baptist pastors and lay people.

For some reason, I always really enjoyed working on projects for Historical Commission, I guess because I tend to appreciate history as I have aged, but also because it felt good to work on projects that seemed significant in history.

My goal when designing the Historical Commission logo was to create a traditional, historic feel, while keeping it clean and simple like a good logo must be.

The brown typography establishes a timely, historic presence when combined with historic photos. The logo was/is typically combined with the ink pen/inkwell photo.
